@CamDonDuncan @DuggyStand What I find staggering is that Gary Chambers at Warrington Wolves gave evidence against Drew Povey at the inquiry. This should tell you everything you need to know about how dangerous Povey is.

@DuggyStand He’s obviously in there because he’s been invited in there. He’s worked with other clubs too and been part of their success. I’ve heard it first hand. Peet has his own leadership coach, so I don’t think there’s a space for him.

@johncosgrove405 @vipereller He was also banned because under watch over 600 attendance marks were altered. He admitted to illegal exclusions, citing mental health, instead of poor behaviour, but he did not inform parents.

@vipereller @schools_keeping Thank you. There is a huge amount of evidence for off rolling, in particular, having been widespread: Ofsted reports, academic studies, press articles etc. Do you know of any other school leader banned over it? I don't.

@johncosgrove405 @little_mavis @ballater6 TRA, like most judicial processes, will have issues. That does not mean, people prohibited from teaching should be allowed back. Like you said, you don’t know the man or his character.

@little_mavis @ballater6 @schools_keeping There are indeed other old cases. The average time is 2.5 years' wait for a hearing, the longest currently is 8 years. @allenjanice1 @schools_keeping 1) This misses the point. Whether he did or did not do what he was accused of does not alter my conclusion. 2) It's certainly not my intention to upset people who have already been hurt but the evidence of an anonymous social media account is not necessarily reliable.

@ballater6 @johncosgrove405 Well, we can assure you we stand together. You will be unable to find very few, if any, of his former staff who have supported him.

@johncosgrove405 @schools_keeping And I am sure that some have done much worse, wonder how many of the ‘former colleagues’ there are, is it like a parent who says everyone agrees when in reality it’s a couple of people. Why has the TRA taken so long Why are the TRA not apparently accountable Who are on the panel

@johncosgrove405 All the while, going on to national television to boast that the school do not do any type of fix term exclusions.

@johncosgrove405 Interesting read John. As former colleagues of Povey,we can hand on heart say the TRAs outcome was correct. He deliberately allowed 600 attendance marks to altered. He instructed staff to send poorly behaved pupils home without recording this as an exclusion or informing parents.

To add to this, I was suspicious of Drew Povey when I listened to a podcast were he claimed to be a rugby coach. Following that, I asked him for some advice on completing my Level2 qualification but it was clear he had no idea about the criteria. Makes you wonder if he was lying?

This is shocking. Not just the off rolling but the fact over 600 attendance marks were amended and pupils were sent home without parents being informed. I thought @drewpovey was a good guy. Yet, he is still arrogantly posting on here, making himself out to be a great leader. 😡

@itstom_white @reesmf @BBCNews If you read the full log, he placed children at risk of harm due to his actions. He also brought the profession into disrepute. As former colleagues of his, we can confirm this was the tip of the iceberg of his narcissistic behaviour.

@schools_keeping @reesmf @BBCNews To me from reading the tribunal, I think a complete teaching ban sounds a bit harsh but maybe say he’s got to have undertakings like not be a headteacher and he can’t get involved in administration of attendance figures?
