I know the whole thing about this film is that Brady Corbet had final cut. I respect and appreciate that and laud that. Art, baby! But maybe he needed someone's voice in his ear here and there. And not because it's long. Long is fine! (Related: Normalize intermissions in movies!)

THE RUNNING MAN: I LOVE the 1987 version, cheesy as it is, so I was stoked for this one. It was fun, I'm not sure it was *good*. When it leaned into the silliness, the Edgar Wright of it all, it was sublime. It stumbled when it tried to get serious, though. Particularly in Act 3.
