This is kind of an annual tweet. Each year tons of Freshman enter the Portal. Almost always because they feel they didn't play enough. Many WILL play more as Sophomores at a new school, but because they have a year of College Defense under their belt. Would have probably seen the same results if they'd stayed. Freshman are not generally good defenders. They spent their lives trying to get recruited with heavy emphasis on their offensive skill set. Not many AAU Coaches or Trainers putting in tons of time on things like lateral quickness to contain ball handlers, work with help & recover skills, recognizing hard versus short closeouts, or how to attack screen & rolls defensively. You WILL have to know that, and get good at it, to get run in College. Wanna play as a Freshman? Be a two-way player, that's just an honest opinion from someone who sees the same thing all over the place year after year.

Once we blow up the NCAA D2 tournament with their regional matchups (re-matches) the next task is to get rid of D1 top seeds playing home games for the first two rounds

Dear college wbb transfers-you do not need an agent-especially if they are seeking you out. You can find the right fit and program by getting to know the program. Do not make your decision all about $. Happiness in the right environment should be #1. No different than job hunting. If money is the issue-remember the agent is going to take a %. Be smart. Schools literally watch the portal all day long. If you meet their needs-they will reach out. Too many agents just worry about $-they don’t care you’ll be 14 on roster, yet you’re transferring for PT. Be smart. Use references. Prioritize you and what’s best for you and your happiness #ncaawbb #transferportal #lovethegame

More D2, D3, Juco and NAIA coaches should get looked at for these jobs. There are some amazing coaches at the Lower levels and some of the best D1 coaches in the country started there. These guys that win consistently do it with less resources & having to do more

It’s is incredibly dumb to “go in a different direction” with a program that is not overly invested in. Every three to four years when you change staffs, all you’re doing is starting over. If you’ve had more coaches than wins in the last 10 years, it’s not always the coaching.

Nothing says CONGRATULATIONS, You're in the @NCAADII tournament like your first round matchup being a rematch of your conference tournament. The coaches and student-athletes that work to get to the pinnacle of their sport deserve so much more. Budget, travel, missed class time. Excuse, Excuse, Excuse. Maybe the @NAIA shouting #TheRightWayToPlay from the rooftop needs to be careful modeled and adopted in championship discussions going forward.
