Incredibly happy to share that I successfully defended my PhD! A huge thank you to my supervisors Samuel Jackson @sci_sjj, Sam Krevor @TheReaderSam and Ann Muggeridge for everything. And to all who made it possible - it's been an incredible adventure!

Yep, that's cliche, but the truth about how I ended up here in #Australia. Initially left my home country Brazil for 1 year adventure... and here I am 9 years later :)

@Reekie2 The ceremony I thought was...so so, but the day was a great chance to catch up with my supervisors and Ph.D friends who were also graduating - to reminisce about the Ph.D and talk about life beyond! Good to add some closure to the Ph.D too and move into new things

In even more exciting news, and the reason for me picking up the award virtually, we welcomed baby Theodora into the world on 21st November. An absolute joy! Her mother is a superstar. Spending paternity and Christmas enjoying cuddles and a general lack of sleep!

New preprint out! The work is the result of the excellent MSc. research by Dan Keable. It explores the archetype fluid dynamics system of a Hele-Shaw cell, and how miscible unstable fluid interfaces displace. Great to have this out after a long road! arxiv.org/abs/2111.06548

A great first paper from Ph.D. student Catrin Harris! A combination of experimental, simulation and field analysis to understand uncertainty in CO2 trapping in the subsurface. The first paper of many I'm sure

New pre-print out from Ph.D. student Scott Higgs on hydrogen-brine-sandstone wettability! We use In-situ (X Ray Micro-CT) and ex-situ techniques to characterise the system, and understand underground hydrogen storage! Great collab @CSIRO & @UNSW doi.org/10.31223/X54045
