✨ Namehashes Instead of using human-readable domains, the Registry contract uses the namehash algorithm to transform them into 256-bit cryptographic hashes. This algorithm, the same used by ENS, ensures security, immutability, and efficient storage of domain data.

With the SCI contract, Web3 builders can seamlessly integrate domain ownership verification into their applications. This not only establishes a reliable foundation for secure interactions but also adds a vital layer of protection against malicious activities.

For the initial version we focused on the ENS Registrar which takes the provided domain hash and subsequently retrieves the owner information from the ENS registry. If the owner of the node matches the sender parameter, the Registrar will register the sender as the domain owner.

Let’s dive into domain ownership. For SCI to secure a web app, the domain owner must first verify they have access to the domain where the website is hosted.
