@CodysDoor @Alloutnikhil @aelluswamy Some routes with good weather and minimal traffic work decently as a level 3 ADAS. Problem is that it is far from reliable in most all other driving conditions. Average travel distance before a disengagement with the most recent HW and SW is still just over 30 miles in 2026.

@Alloutnikhil @aelluswamy Ironically, my Tesla self driving has been driving me for about an hour and 15 minutes without intervention since I left my house to the mountains. I’ll get to our cabin in about 45 minutes and will not have touched the steering wheel once.

@GreenBoxTrading Neither does 10x the P/E of the average mega cap on top of having negative growth over the last few years. Tesla/Musk have fooled many for a long time; Bernie Madoff class. It’s always about the next big thing that never monetarily materializes and keeps the con alive.

@scidood 44% -48% institutional ownership +25% insider ownership doesnt fit cult stock.

Even though all of this is very obvious to informed outsiders looking in, it’s not easy to short this type of a highly followed cult stock. The high valuation will keep not making sense until the one day that sane investors become the majority.

Why isn't there at least one auto company, US or China, who's interested in licensing FSD?

@InvestInsightio You could have made that same argument almost 5 years ago and every year thereafter would have proven that hypothesis wrong. Earnings have been dropping since 2022, not rising.

@scidood P/E breaks down here because TSLA isn't priced on current earnings - it's priced on robotaxi, energy, and AI optionality that doesn't show up in financials yet. The auto business alone doesn't justify $100. It's really a bet on Elon executing 3 businesses at once.

Tesla is part of a group of mega cap stocks called the Mag 7. However, it only got there by market cap which it is steadily losing. If $TSLA stock price would be $100 today, it would still be overvalued at 2x the P/E of the next largest P/E Mag 7 company, Nvidia.

@M1keeuk @ZacksJerryRig You comparing the reliability of Tesla’s attempt at autonomy to brakes and aircraft is the classic example of autonowashing. Fans were saying same thing you are 1, 2, 5 years ago. Tesla isn’t even claiming it or they would be liable for every accident and death caused by it.

@M1keeuk @ZacksJerryRig If you are that complacent, then you are putting yourself and the life of others in harms way. It works until it doesn't. It is capped at below 35 miles on average before an intervention needs to occur to not cause an accident or other unwelcome traffic situation.

With Tesla's decade old narrative of taking over the worlds auto market now obviously solidly obliterated, it was time for Tesla (Musk) to do what they're doing. That was to spitball a bunch of different company divisions and paths to keep the $TSLA stock fantasy alive.
