Day 2: AP Bio Ss used the @sciedhutch bioinformatics BLAT lessons to compare the abundance of TP53 in 5 animals (🐩🐢🐘, naked mole rat, & manatee) to humans, then built models of the p53 protein binding to 🧬 to turn on genes to stop cell division or trigger apoptosis.

Supporting young scientists today means accelerating cures tomorrow. 🧬🧫 Thanks to @univmechanical , @fredhutch educational programs are shaping the curious minds of future researchers and helping them pursue their dreams!
