Green area of the Antarctic PENINSULA has risen from 1 to 12 square kilometers. "The area of likely vegetation cover increased from 0.863 km2 in 1986 to 11.947 km2 in 2021." Great climate science but worth a reality check when the news featured on Google News is "Antarctica is greening". #realityisbadenough

@Revkin @ThomasPRoland @scienceisnotfun was one of the lead authors of that research and has been mapping the greening of Antarctica as shown here: x.com/NatureGeosci/s… So yes Antarctica is a large white place, but the conditions on the surface of Antarctica are increasingly green.
