@JustinPetersMin It’s a misconception to view the cross in the context of an angry God. In Catholic theology, the crucifixion is seen as a profound act of divine love and sacrifice, not an expression of divine anger. Catholics Venerate the Crucifix not an empty cross.

@Faith_Not_Fear_ @jo23lamar @sola_chad The Septuagint was the formal Hebrew Bible recognised by Jews in the Greek speaking world… Paul & Jesus were very familiar with the book including the so called apocryphal books… practice humility

@jo23lamar @sola_chad Jewish canon. It was not seen as inspired writing, so while some may have read it and quoted from it, it was not scripture. Learn some history outside of what you see on X.

@MichaelWar23280 @sola_chad I was hoping for some substance… very few people in these threads offer it… hence many are turning to the origins of Christianity…

Joe.. 150 years before the Bible and new Testament was even canonised. This is the prayer of the early Christians… “We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. God bless you

How is revelation 12 about Mary? Just because you decorate an idol with this description and worship it as Mary doesn’t mean it’s Mary. The scripture is describing the woman as Mary and the 12 stars representing the 12 tribes of Israel. When and where is it recorded that Mary would be taken care of for 1,260 days In the wilderness? And also, why are you bringing up the evolution of the church from the forefathers, when those same men never once worshipped Mary as divine nor referred to her as the queen of heaven? What are you talking about?

Joe.. the crown is a symbol of royalty… wearing this crown, the Woman is depicted as a royal figure presiding over the "New Israel" (the Church). In the Davidic Kingdom—which Jesus fulfills—the Queen was not the King's wife, but his mother. Joe… Revelation 12:5 states the Woman "brought forth a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron." Since you (Joe) and Protestants agree the child is Jesus, it follows logically that the woman who gave birth to the King is the Queen. Mother. Joe.. please humble yourself .. ask Mary to come into your like. God bless you my brother in Christ

My friend then you’ll have a problem with Psalm 136. In this litany, the phrase "for his steadfast love endures forever" is repeated 26 times in 26 verses. Your argument is mute. In Greek, Jesus was referring to the word “battalogia” which refers more to babbling, stammering, or using magical incantations, rather than the act of repeating a prayer from the heart. Please reflect on that

@sciencepharma0 @sola_chad Thank you for your time. I will take a close look at your references. I had contact to traditionalist Catholics and was not convinced, so your estimation is probably incorrect. However, I am impressed by your kind replies, so I will take a look.

@beeeeeshop @sola_chad Revelation 12 is clear re Mary. Joe.. you just appealed to tradition re Hanukkah.. it’s not OT material as many other NT phenomena.. . You see, Christianity evolved from tradition, Church & scripture… delve into the roots of Christian history… you owe it to yourself

What are you talking about? You and I both know I wasn’t talking about Hanukkah or the traditions they followed before the death of Christ. Where in the New Testament did the patriarchs ever refer to Mary as the queen of heaven in the NT? Where did anyone ever go to Mary as a mediator to Christ and the Father? Why did you just completely ignore that I’m saying not only did no one look toward Mary for any divine guidance, But also God himself vomits at the idea that there some “queen of heaven” There is no reference to Mary being a queen of heaven and when you do see the title, it’s used as a reference for idol worship

Robin… you were likely nominal Catholic…. Never really were educated and orientated into Catholicism. Your commentary above is evident of this … read Luke’s account of Marian verses… venture to 1Kings (highlighting precedence for her (Queenship).. then reflect on Revelation 12… The Rosary echoes Gabriel & Elizabeth’s words..then finished with intercession prayer. No one is praying to Mary. She prays with us. Best!

@sciencepharma0 @sola_chad My case is that I don't see any sense in repeating a sentence again and again to achieve something. I prayed the rosary when I was a catholic. Except for meditational purposes there is nothing good about it. Reminds me of "Hare Krishna".

@sola_chad The Queenship of Mary is seen in the Davidic covenant where the kings mother held the highest honour & as the great Intercessor. See Kings 1. / Revelation 12. Jesus is King of Kings.. therefore Mary is..

1. No response to my comments re confession / priesthood. 2. Bracelet?? I say the Hail Mary / Rosary as per Luke’s account with out beads. 3. If you’re going to argue silence from scripture, then you’ll need to reconcile many practices/ commentary in the NT that has no mention in the OT eg. Jesus celebrating Hanukkah/ . No mention. John 10. Only described in the inter testament book of Maccabees (not in your Bible). Matthew described ‘seat of Moses’. No mention. Synagogue system? No mention You see, tradition, Jesus honoured. He recognized the validity of a historical and liturgical development in the life of the faithful. As did the early Church. Read the church fathers, then read with on history of the church. Gus bless you

@sciencepharma0 @matthewdmarsden There is a time and place for civil discourse between the two… Catholics have much to learn from Protestantism… many have been indoctrinated with Catholic talking points as children and now in their adult years have never looked into the details objectively.

Gideon.. Hebrews 12 when understood in its original transcript refers to the living and the dead.. Gideon.. notice “..You have come" (past/present), not "you will come." Paul is saying that even now, Christians on earth are mystically connected to the "spirits of the righteous made perfect" in heaven. Christ is our (mediator).. The Catholic Perspective: We don't pray to Mary instead of Jesus; we ask Mary to pray with us to Jesus. God bless

@sciencepharma0 @sola_chad So under biblical Mary you quote Hebrews 12:1 - where in Hebrews 12:1 does it say Mary prays for us? Also..... Do you know the first 3 words of verse 2? Quoting Hebrews is a bad one, cause the entire book outlined the supremacy of Jesus and how Jesus is solely who we look to
