Heading into the second Loreto Literary Festival this morning. 10 schools, 1 university, 400 kids all leaving with a book, 5 authors leaving exhausted. Wish us luck!

What a sad day. Attacking those who protect us, who are always a call away when disaster strikes. Burning. Looting. The tragedy of the mother & children attacked all but forgotten, overshadowed but opportunists. They don't speak for me. I'm so beyond disgusted. Sick to my stomach

@ConorWilson @JoeLeogue It sounds like a great thing but I reckon it's cashing in on the fears of anyone who's had an incident with past date dairy. There'll be an adjustment period where sales are going to spike and handy profits will he made.

@JoeLeogue That’s the thing. If I’m in the shop today, I’ll buy the one with date furthest from now and it’ll be used before then. But if it’s gone tomorrow or the next day . . . You’d imagine they’d need a date of production or similar which is more or less the same but more confusing.

That’s interesting. I pay more attention to my own nose and eyes than sell by or use by dates. A lot of the time, they can be completely ignored. With something like milk though, it would be good to know I need to buy more *before* it’s gone bad, rather than once it’s happened.
