ITV's Peter Smith describes John Swinney's pledge to cap the price of essential food items as ... communism. Communism? Is the energy price cap communism too? Are bus fare price caps also communism? When did broadcast journalism become this bad? Is Scotland just unlucky?

Our daughter, a month ago suffered a massive stroke. Rushed to Wishaw General and has been in the stroke ward there for over a month. Progress slow but the care she receives there is superb. This is the Scots NHS the Unionists say is rubbish. It ain't. It's a credit to Scotland.

Glenn Campbell asks if John Swinney is "picking a fight" with the UK Labour Govt by pledging an 'essential items' price cap. Sarwar announced a similar pledge on Monday. Was he picking a fight too? Seriously, how this man is a political editor is beyond us.

Israel has destroyed the final bridge to Southern Lebanon. There is now no way for millions of displaced people to reach their homes. There is no means for essential aid and supplies to reach those who were unable to flee. Another mammoth war crime, another act of barbarity.

@scotsyounglab From my recollection Sarwar & Offord have doubled down accusing each other of lying, these accusations were not extended to the FM. Nobody could ever accuse Sarwar, or indeed Baillie of honesty.

@BBCScotlandNews the Scottish SNP govt are currently launching their manifesto , there is ZERO coverage on your networks, why not? We’ve had almost daily coverage of Farage’s & Labours press conferences - why not SNPs?

Failure to fund the Scottish super computer which will be one of the fastest in the world The UK Government recommitted to the Edinburgh national supercomputer on 11 June 2025. Ten months later, not a single pound has been released. This delay is actively damaging the build: No procurement means no hardware orders, no power upgrades, no installation schedule. No disbursement means Edinburgh can’t hire, plan, or contract suppliers. No timeline means the Scotland is falling behind countries already deploying next generation systems. Every month lost now adds months to the final delivery, because supercomputers depend on long lead components and global supply chains. On paper, Edinburgh has a £750 million commitment. In reality, it has £0, an empty data hall, and a slipping national capability. A commitment without funding is not progress it’s a pause disguised as a promise. In contrast Cambridge Oxford corridor..money paid upgrades is happening Multiple independent sources confirm: £36 million government investment into the Cambridge AI supercomputer (DAWN). Funding confirmed and active as of 26 January 2026. The upgrade is already in progress, with AMD MI355X GPUs being delivered Dell integration underway Capacity increasing sixfold by spring 2026 This is explicitly described as a government funding injection meaning money has moved, not just been promised. More Westminster double standards and a lost opportunity words mean nothing when funds are withheld. ☮️🌏🤔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚖️

Scottish Questions a predictable punch-up between Labour and Tory MPs - most from south of the border. Now #PMQs - 36 minutes in and not a single Scottish MP involved. This is what 2024 Labour victory produced. Important WM forums are a Scot-free zone.
