Today IT refund gets credited to your bank account within 15 days of filing IT returns. How many of you remember that during the Congress regime, one had to bribe Income Tax officials to get Income Tax Refund cheques? Generally, the rate used to be 10% of the refund amount.

What’s the cruellest fate for an infant who cannot survive on her own? To be starved to death. She cannot call for help, cannot complain, just cries in hope until there’s no energy left to cry. Just over a year old, Divyanshi of Shivpuri (MP) weighed only 3.7 kg when she died at the district hospital two days ago. Her ideal weight at her age is 8–12 kg. She was not brought to the hospital by her family on their own. The state authorities had flagged her case under the Dastak Abhiyan. Doctors say her family was repeatedly urged to admit her to the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre. But her mother alleges that the in-laws blocked treatment because she was a girl: “Whenever she fell ill, they said, let her die, she is just a daughter.” This is not an isolated case. It happens more often than most realize. With prenatal gender screenings banned, some families have now found new, horrifying ways to eliminate girl children. While most malnutrition deaths are unintended and affect both genders, deliberate neglect almost exclusively targets girls. Govt records show over 10 lakh malnourished children in MP, including 1.36 lakh severely wasted. By comparison, the national under-5 malnutrition rate in April 2025 was 5.40%, while MP’s stood at a staggering 7.79%. Shri @DrMohanYadav51, declare this a state health emergency and act on priority. Malnutrition deaths in 2025 are unacceptable.
