Honestly this movie works so well because it's beyond just a gay story, it's connected in so many areas. Distinctly about poverty, resentment, black masculinity, allowing yourself to embrace yourself and others. And yes being gay. It deserves all its accolades

#KidCudi has announced that he fired M.I.A. as one of the openers on his Rebel Ragers Tour after she was booed during a rant which included lines like, “I’ve been canceled for many reasons. I never thought I would be canceled for being a brown Republican voter.”
Cudi announced her departure from the tour on May 4 via Instagram, where he wrote, “TOUR UPDATE: M.I.A is no longer on this tour. I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started tour that I didn’t want anything offensive at my shows, cuz I already knew what time it was, and I was assured things were understood. After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants. This, to me, is very disappointing and I wont have someone on my tour making offensive remarks that upsets my fanbase. Thank you for understanding. Rager.”

An HIV-positive man with colon cancer, unable to work for four years, lived in his Los Angeles apartment for almost 25 years.
He says he mailed his rent on time. The landlord said the check never arrived and filed for eviction.
After a trial, a jury ruled he DID mail the payment, but since it wasn't cashed, they said he failed to pay on time.
A judge ordered him out. Sheriff's deputies escorted him from his home of a quarter-century.
He took his dog, Simba, and his clothes. He left behind his furniture, his blankets, his two TVs, and his beloved Madonna CDs.
He's now homeless, sleeping on a friend's sofa.
The system will evict a dying man over a payment dispute.
But a corporation can squat in bankruptcy court for years? "That's a different matter entirely."

A grumpy man can control a family without ever raising his voice. He just has to make his displeasure expensive enough. A long silence at dinner. A ruined car ride. I don’t think people are understanding this headline - this is genuinely one of the coolest things I’ve seen a movie do.
They hired an ACTUAL artist to PAINT a meme in the style of the ai ones to poke fun at them. Would’ve been so easy to ai generate something for the movie but they held themselves to a higher standard which I really really respect.
