@GMcKCypress @bruces That’s not the case. Your work on Medium is available on the open web to be read by anyone, shared, indexed by search engines, etc. It’s only behind the paywall if you, the writer, choose to put it there.

@bruces If you don’t have a community of followers or get algorithmically promoted, Medium is its own walled garden that prevents your work from being seen by the larger internet. They do have a slick writing/publishing platform, though.

As for the school thing, it’s annoying semantics but ALL speed cameras in NYC are in school zones so every ticket says that nyc.gov/html/dot/downl…
