Reports of an anti-Semitic attack at a Beverly Grove restaurant in Los Angeles are deeply disturbing. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own community—we must make clear that acts of hate and prejudice have no place in California or the rest of the country.

We as a city condemn last night's organized, anti-Semitic attack. Jewish Angelenos, like all residents, should always feel safe in our city. @LAPDHQ is investigating this assault as a hate crime, and we will respond with the full force of the law.

L.A. County Probation Education Services is providing 75 laptops to college students in partnership with L.A. Mission College & non-profit iFoster. Laptops will be given upon release so that the youth may continue their education while transitioning back into their community.
