Anytime I go somewhere historic I collect a bit of it. I have bits from inter alia Pompeii, Hadrian's Wall, Side, Rochester Cathedral, Granada and Medina Azahar in a little pile in my back garden. I know it's wrong but I get so much pleasure from my little pile of tiles & stone.

@paul_mcauley This is really interesting, Paul! We did an interview for the Echo at the end of the Summer about the Irish Language in Liverpool but it never got published; might be worth trying to dig it out or we would be happy to speak to the Echo again if there's any interest?
