@Casey3777@saylordocs He is an intellectual dwarf - he thinks he is too smart for his own good. he writes non-sensical papers. "Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupt absolutely."
Vladimir Putin said, "After the Soviet Union collapsed, we believed we would quickly join the civilized Western world.
Today, it seems there is no civilization there, only degradation."
@saylordocs Putin is literally saying that Western Civilization has so rapidly decayed as to be undesirable. Can’t say that he is wrong.
We should not be enemies. The US and Russia need to become allies, screw Europe.
@saylordocs Hmmm, seems like a very adversarial way of putting it. Does he mean to say that countries like Poland, Germany, France, Hungary, Italy, etc. are not civilizational? Last I checked the history of Western Europe predates that of Easter Europe, from a civilization perspective ;)
Investigate the ref.
I love Usyk. But that is criminal. Absolutely mental.
Stopped too early. Not even close.
A great knockdown but Verhoeven wasnt done there.
@unusual_whales Mojtaba literally said no enriched uranium will leave the country of Iran…. Unless Trump conceded on literally the entire reason he went to war this is all bullsht
BREAKING: The final draft of a U.S.-Iran agreement has reportedly been reached through Pakistani mediation and could be announced within hours, though reports have not been confirmed.
@BobBusa57@unusual_whales "Iran’s ISNA news agency says mediated discussions between Tehran and Washington are ongoing, with the two sides exchanging messages and draft texts in an effort to establish a formal framework for an agreement to end the conflict."
@Kylechasse The tech cold war has almost always been there, historically:
NVIDIA vs ATI
SEGA vs Nintendo
Apple vs Microsoft
Betamax vs VHS
Intel vs AMD
This is nothing new. May the best AI chip win :)
Jensen Huang just said the quiet part out loud.
Nvidia has "largely conceded" China's AI chip market to Huawei.
China was once 20% of Nvidia's data center revenue.
Now ByteDance, Baidu, and Alibaba are all running Huawei chips at scale.
US export controls didn't stop China. They just accelerated their own chip ecosystem.
Nvidia still posted 85% revenue growth this quarter.
But the AI world is splitting in two.
One stack runs on Nvidia. The other runs on Huawei.
The tech cold war just got a lot more real.
Trump’s thesis is simple:
Hormuz reopens.
Oil crashes.
Inflation falls.
Rate cuts accelerate.
Liquidity floods markets.
Risk assets explode higher.
That’s the narrative.
But I don’t fully buy it.
Markets are far more complex than a single geopolitical outcome. Even if oil drops, it doesn’t automatically mean aggressive rate cuts or a straight-line melt-up in stocks and crypto.
Could risk assets rally? Sure.
But calling for “everything through the roof” feels more like political messaging than reality.
@cryptorover Unlikely. I expect the Russia-China-North Korea VS the US tensions to increase, especially as the US will set its sight on Cuba next. the US is making lots o textbook strategic mistakes. This will come back to hunt them. China and Russia are outplaying the US in this 3d chess.
@FattyHighpants@BBCWorld The US is making a critical mistake. They need unity with Canada. They think they can divide & conquer. They don't realize the huge consequences this will have. Instead of maximum cooperation they are committing another strategic blunder. Russia and China are outplaying the US.
@BBCWorld The US has been funding separatists, paying social media influencers to flood our social media with fake news, lies and hate - anything to divide us... and of course, #Musk has put his finger on his algorithm scale!
Fucking bullshit!
@yourgirlShu@unusual_whales He needs a deal with Iran, because that war is unwinnable. It was a strategic mistake to attack Iran. They are too entrenched.
@TNr1ck@unusual_whales Poland is the most important country on the Eastern flank. It aligns with the US' values, has a mega strong economy, and also very strong armed forces. It may need them to oppose Russia, if the Russians will want to keep pushing deeper into Europe.
