Mark Carney évite la période de questions parce que son bilan (et non l’illusion qu’il tente de projeter) est le suivant : il a doublé le déficit, n’a approuvé aucun pipeline, n’a modifié aucune loi pénale pour assurer la sécurité des Canadiens, et dirige la seule économie en déclin avec la pire inflation des prix alimentaires du G7. Mieux vaut flotter sur un nuage d’illusions que de se heurter à la dure réalité.

The reason Mr. Carney hides from Question Period is that his real record (not the illusion) is doubling the deficit, no pipelines approved, no crime laws changed, while giving Canada the only shrinking economy and worst food price inflation in the G7. Better to float around on a cloud of illusions than hit the harsh ground of reality.

Lewis has called for a full ban on new pipelines and all fossil fuel development, at a time when the world needs Alberta energy more than ever. And while Naheed Nenshi @nenshi may try to distance himself, the Alberta NDP’s own constitution makes clear they are tied to the federal party. The truth is, the Alberta NDP has a long track record of opposing pipelines and energy development. Their extreme views are a danger to jobs and affordability. The UCP will never stop fighting against radical forces, including the Alberta NDP, who want to shut down our economy and keep our resources in the ground.
