✨Happy Mental Health Awareness Month! ✨ Since it’s Mental Health Awareness Month, I’ve really been reflecting on what that actually means — not just supporting awareness from a distance, but being honest when things genuinely aren’t okay. Lately, I haven’t been doing the best mentally. I think a lot of it comes from burnout and trying to juggle so many different responsibilities at once. Between school, everyday life, content creation, streaming, and constantly feeling pressure to keep performing well in every area, it’s felt like I never really get the chance to slow down and breathe. I think sometimes we get so used to pushing through everything that we forget we’re allowed to admit when we’re exhausted. We live in a culture that praises productivity so much that slowing down can almost feel wrong, even when your mind and body are clearly asking for it. One thing I’ve been learning is that being honest with yourself is a really hard step to take, but such a necessary one if you want to grow and heal. Pretending everything is okay only pushes burnout further down the road. Permitting oneself to acknowledge what they're feeling is important, and honestly, it’s something I’m still learning how to do better. I’m incredibly grateful to have friends in my life who constantly advocate for self-care, balance, and being kind to yourself. Having people around you who remind you that your worth is not tied only to productivity can make such a huge difference. I’m thankful for therapy, mental health resources, and the conversations surrounding mental health becoming more open and accepted. There’s so much strength in reaching out for support, taking care of yourself, and recognizing when you need rest instead of trying to carry everything alone. The reason I’m sharing this is that I want to help normalize the idea that it’s okay to not always be okay. It’s okay to be overwhelmed sometimes. It’s okay to slow down. And it’s okay to ask for help. If you’ve been struggling recently too, I hope you give yourself the same kindness and understanding that you’d so easily give to someone else. You deserve that compassion too. 🥰💚 I hope that this post encourages at least one other person to feel courageous enough to open up about what they’re going through and maybe find even just a little more peace with themselves.
