@TobieCarter6190 @KellyMalacko That's a good idea but even that makes my hands cramp up pretty quickly😅 I do like using OneNote on my phone to easily access my digital notes
English

@scrivner_jo @KellyMalacko Do you use GoogleDocs? You could import into that and write from your phone?
English

Q2. Are you a roving coffee shop writer, a phone-typing commuter, or do you have a writing nook in your house you always seek out? #ThrillsandChills @TobieCarter6190

English

@scrivner_jo @TobieCarter6190 My hand cramps up so fast when I handwrite.
English

@KellyMalacko @TobieCarter6190 I used to have a word count goal on my previous computer with a certain app, but since I got a new laptop I have more of a page goal (at least 1 or 2 pages every day). Also, since I started doing writing sprints, I guess it's more of a minute spent writing goal.
English

Q8. Do goals keep you writing? Maybe a word count goal, a chapter's edited goal, or minutes spent in chair goal. What do you use? #ThrillsandChills @TobieCarter6190

English

@KellyMalacko @TobieCarter6190 These days I usually listen to playlists from YouTube that reflect the era I'm writing about. But when I'm extra exhausted, I just write in silence, because the background music just makes me sleepier somehow😅
English

Q7. Do you like to surround yourself in inspiration when you write? #ThrillsandChills @TobieCarter6190

English

@KellyMalacko @TobieCarter6190 I REALLY struggle with this😅 I recently started working in sprints which sometimes help, but when I have writer's block it just makes me feel more anxious
English

Q4. Squirrel!
There are so many distractions in the world right now. How do you focus on your writing when your phone is chirping, your dog needs a walk, the kids need help with homework, and the laundry just dinged? #ThrillsandChills @TobieCarter6190

English

@KellyMalacko @TobieCarter6190 I actually try not to read in the same genre too much when I'm writing, that way I'm more confident that my words and my thoughts are my own. I get too easily influenced by others I guess.
English

Q3. Some people get inspired by other author's words, some get their own plot line tangled in a similar story, some find their character's voice in the pages of another author's novel, some start to write another author's character. Who are you? #ThrillsandChills @TobieCarter6190

English

@KellyMalacko @TobieCarter6190 I prefer writing on my laptop, which I don't always have on me, unfortunately, so it limits my writing opportunities. I only use my notebook for ideas and brainstorming. It bothers me that my handwriting is not as fast as my thoughts, as opposed to typing.
English

@KellyMalacko @TobieCarter6190 I wish I could be more of a coffee shop writer! Whenever I write outside of my home, I'm usually able to focus more (I don't get distracted by social media as much), I just don't always have the time to make it happen.
English

@KellyMalacko @TobieCarter6190 I still struggle with this. My "writing space" is the same as my usual home office space, which makes it more challenging to just focus on writing and nothing else on my daily to-do list. I do like listening to music (with no lyrics to distract me) to help me get in the mood
English

Q1. How do you make your writing space perfect? Do you light a candle, drink a hot drink, read an inspiring piece of writing, stare at art, sniff an old book, or just sit down any old place and get to work? #ThrillsandChills @TobieCarter6190

As a reader, do you prefer a narrative in first-person or third-person?🤔
