Right. If there is ever a show where an orchestra gets together and plays the music from Bluey and its albums, I will pay SILLY MONEY to be there. Anywhere in the world. It'd make a cracking prom, who organises those? Is it too late for this year? #sillymoney #makeitathing

18 years after it was released, and some 3 years after I started playing it, I've finally completed GTA Liberty City Stories. May I never play it again. I guess Vice City Stories is next!

461 days later, because apparently I'm super slow at gaming, did GTA VCS too. GTA IV next!

I think I've enjoyed them the most I have since London 2012, probably a lot because of the friendly timezone but also the vibe around Paris that has been coming across has been FANTASTIC. It's been a great host. LA has a tough gig to follow. And Milan too of course! Thanks Paris!

but sometimes conversely because there was so much going on they couldn't focus on just one!). What the beeb do with their two streams plus 5 live is high high quality. If I hadn't had the pay subscription I reckon I'd have still enjoyed the games. Kudos!

@scrxisi As one of the sports that's joined since London 2012, I'd be intrigued where the International Surfing Association would approve in the UK! Much as Paris 2024 has had to use 'France d'outre-mer' and Tahiti in French Polynesia, so might we need to use a British Overseas Territory?

I see rumours that London will try and get the Olympics again, possibly as early as 2040, but I can't help but think that "Yorkshire 2040" would be ace. That said, I don't want to bankrupt my home county. But...

@BrownPhilip Well then, call it London but have my Crayola vision anyway. We can have something down here to make it look legit, maybe a couple of handball matches and the race walking?

@scrxisi The IOC voted against Birmingham 1992, Manchester 1996 and Manchester 2000 (in 1985, 1989 and 1993 respectively) and on each occasion they said they only wanted Britain's bigger city to bid for it. However nice it is to get out the crayons, I doubt they have changed their minds.

Use the excuse to build a smart new track stadium to nurture the next gen of Yorkshire athletes. I'm not saying it'll definitely work, but I like the sound of it...

Speed climbing up Kilnsey Crag, road races through the Dales, we have some epic reservoirs for open water stuff. The stadia for football are already there, we can get cricket or rugby league in finally

@scrxisi Those were happy days. Didn't manage to go to the opening ceremony in 2012, but did go to at least one event everyday for the next 16 days that the Olympics were on. That was our summer holiday that year.

On Friday morning at 9amish I'm going to get the London 2012 blu-ray out and watch the opening ceremony from 12 years ago, in advance of the French one later on (which for reasons I'll have to watch piecemeal). Come round if you want

You know the distinctive bongs before announcements on French railways? They have a whole song built on them as the hold music when you call SNCF. I can't decide where on the cool-triggering scale that comes but it's nonetheless something I didn't know until I experienced it!

Well, it's intriguing isn't it. Labour are going to storm home but it's weirdly not comprehensive at the same time. It'll be interesting to see how the parties to the right of centre organise, going forward.

Had to break my twitter hiatus for election coverage, which is unrivalled on here for getting a quick and continuous broad spectrum view. Will no doubt do the same for the GE, whenever it is! All the data so far seems to point to a change of mayor, alas

Whilst I'm here: I'm probably going to step back from X and FB after Christmas. I'll be about on IG but not as much either. I'm done with social media. I could detail it more and am happy to do so but email/text/write and set up a run/coffee/meal/pint with me. It'll be ace!

My bookface memories has started showing me my tweets from 10+ years ago and my god I was a boring, irritating prick. DGMW - I'm nothing like the person I want to be yet and I'm not saying I'm either interesting or unirritating now. Far from it. But I was worse back then!
