So the founder of Signal just dropped a new project called Confer, and it’s basically the Signal/Telegram of AI.
The premise is a fully private AI that doesn't track or monetize your data.
Moxie even admitted that AI inference is insanely expensive and he's even said he's focusing his attention here now. instead of Signal He mentioned in the tweet that he needs funding to keep it going because they refuse to sell user data to cover costs.
Imagine if we helped fund this with Bags to keep it cheap and private for everyone. We’ve seen AI slop run, but this is an actual IRL tool with a legendary founder.

I wish I could make it cheaper, but AI inference is very expensive. Most other providers are either monetizing user data or planning to monetize user data in order to cover costs, but Confer doesn't have access to your data -- so we couldn't do that even if we wanted to. This is the real break-even price when you are the actual customer.
