@EarlOfEnough Of those four, it’s only Jimmy Carter who solidly and consistently spoke up for democracy. Sincerely. Clinton and Obama sold out in office, made their $$, and keep their profiles low now which is particularly reprehensible, given the state of the falling of our democracy.

📌So George W. Bush is just gonna sit back and say nothing about the sad state of his repulsive party? He could actually do a lot of good here ...

Corporations say they were forced to raise prices. But profits have increased at a faster rate than costs. CEOs exploited the panic of inflation to juice their margins. Now average margins in nearly every sector in the S&P 500 are running near or above 10-year highs. Hello?

We DO NOT NEED The Supreme Court to provide clarity on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The Constitution, writings by the Authors of the Amendment, and many Constitutional Scholars have already done that. The text and intent are clear. What we DO NEED from The Supreme Court is to: • Honor their Oath! • Follow the Rule of Law without Fear or Favor! • Protect our Nation and its Citizens from a would-be Dictator! • Provide Clarity on THEIR ALLIANCES! Are they loyal to Trump or to the American People? This decision will define the Supreme Court for a Generation, (if they get it right) or forever (if they get it wrong). Here is their Oath: “I, _________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as _________ under the Constitution and laws of the United States; and that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

Kellogg's raised prices 14% from Q2 2022 to Q2 2023. The company then reported better than expected profits and execs shared plans to spend more on stock buybacks and larger dividends. News flash: Corporations have been using inflation as cover to squeeze more money out of you.

Project 2025 If you are not familiar with this project, it's important that you become familiar ASAP! It's essentially a plan to destroy our Representative Republic (our Democracy) and replace it with a Dictatorship (Trump). • Expansion of Presidential Powers. • Bans on Abortion & Contraceptives. • Martial Law from day one. • First Amendment - Gone. • Ban on pornography Weaponizing of the DOJ to jail anyone who speaks against Trump. Refunding the FBI. • Repeal of the Inflation Reduction Act, Obamacare, and possibly every other legislation that benefits Americans. • Climate policy - Withdraw from all efforts to reverse climate change. • Rescinding regulations currently "prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation." November 2023, Trump said: "If I happen to be President and I see somebody who's doing well and beating me badly, I say go down and indict him." Project 2025 has a complete database of like-minded individuals who will lead all the departments within the executive branch. Wikipedia provides a summary of the project. We must share this information with friends and family. They have to know what is at stake! If this won't motivate sane Americans to vote, nothing will. #VoteBlueToSaveDemocracy en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2…

Once again: Workers are not driving inflation. Corporate profits are still near record levels. Meanwhile, wages are just now slowly outpacing inflation. It’s time for the Fed to stop putting the blame on workers.

When you cut taxes on the rich, the rich get richer and the gains don’t trickle down. When you invest in the American people, the middle class expands and the economy grows. It’s that simple.

American democracy is facing two threats: One, from an increasingly authoritarian-fascist Republican party. The second, from ever-larger amounts of corporate and billionaire money in our campaigns and elections. We must be clear and courageous in our fight against both forces.

When a company like Amazon, worth over $1.5 trillion, owned by a man worth over $170 billion, gets fined just $7,000 after its unsafe working conditions led to the death of a 20-year-old worker, it's obvious that we must strengthen our woefully inadequate health and safety laws.

The vicious cycle of monopolization: 1) Corporations argue that their growth is just part of the free market. 2) Use their monopoly power to gouge consumers. 3) Take a portion of their profits to make political donations. 4) Lobby against antitrust enforcement. 5) Repeat.

Smaller seats. Less legroom. Out of control fees for in-flight meals, checked bags, or even carry-ons. Charging us $25 to print a boarding pass! Why does flying suck so much these days? It has a lot to do with power — and how greed has overtaken our entire economy.
