Another year as an inmate of the state. As property of the D.O.C. Another year locked up in a cell 23 hours a day. Always cuffed and chained when you leave that small cell. Happy new year fellow inmates!

This is all to make it difficult for the prisoners to conceal unauthorised contraband. It probably goes without saying that all inmates are chained and cuffed when they leave their cells

The prison warden is very meticulous in ensuring that all inmates follow the instruction on how the prison uniform should be worn. The inmates' t-shirt must be tucked into their underwear and the over-the-calf socks must be pulled up to just below the knees.
