You made valid points about Shatta Wale’s Wembley performance, respect where it’s due. But let’s not rewrite history in the process.
In 2015 the exact same year Shatta performed at OVO Arena @stonebwoy won Artist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards after few weeks AND was weeks away from winning Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards, beating Wizkid, Sarkodie and AKA. That’s not “chasing” anybody that’s dominating on two fronts simultaneously.
@stonebwoy released Necessary Evil in 2014, earned 6 VGMA nominations, took home 3 awards, and was the first of his kind to win a BET Award. He was doing his Euro tour as far back as August 2014 Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria.
So while Shatta was performing at Wembley in March 2015, @stonebwoy was literally in the defining year of his entire career.
Nobody is taking Shatta’s Wembley moment from him. Nobody can.
That was real. That was historic. But calling @stonebwoy irrelevant in 2015 is not a flex it’s just factually wrong. A big fat lie bro
