A new study has found that fluctuating rainfall significantly impacts the size and development of sea turtle hatchlings, which could affect their chances of survival. For species like green turtles, heavier rain leads to smaller shells, with varying effects on body weight. 🧵

The White Shark Chase is expanding eDNA sampling and testing #citizenScience kits! PhD student @JenretteJf and @SeaKeepers have just completed a transect along the Adriatic Sea aboard TE STREEP. Another team is operating between the Balearic Islands and Sardinia. #WSC2024
