@sean58292 @Teccnutter @AsheConstella He gets even stronger while fighting Gas. He gets no diffed by base Gas at first, but his Zenkai gets him the win against instincts unleashed Gas, who's far stronger than his base. Bardock was far above the king at that point.

@Teccnutter @Grassrose08Joe @AsheConstella Bardock had a stated power level of near 10,000. Depending on what the doctors had meant, that would definitely put him above Nappa. He is low class, but you're supposed to infer that his many near-death experiences brought him up to a respectable level.

Almost all defenses for Super Bardock are:
"He has a personality now"
"Z Bardock was just hype and aura"
I don't think Super Bardock is a bad character, but I personally don't like how he makes Goku's life special/extraordinary before meeting Grandpa Gohan

Old bardock is completely irrelevant to his own story the moment he becomes Goku's sperm donor, could have died off screen and nothing would have changed. Super bardock literally saved the multiverse, by simply not being A dick And why don't people like that? Lol

I don’t know if people noticed, but Oda started to move away from the Gary-sue Shanks narrative and made him very flawed, which is good He’s a character who hates himself at his core and shackled himself with destiny. He limited his own freedom in admiration for Roger

What amazes me of some of op fandom is their audacity to say that shanks fooled loki or got an agreement with him becuz they can’t believe that shanks surpassed old gen by defeating loki after 8 years from killing his father incident.. they don’t take gaban or giants word seriously but takes their Cope seriously.. atp they are jealous like a little girls😂💀
