@KeithMillsD7 Hard not to agree with your point but the actions of one of the security guards was way out of order. Forcing his knee onto his neck like he did was completely disproportionate, especially considering he was well under control at that point.

@Padraiccleary I dont think so either, the guy was allegedly a well known shoplifter. It stands to reason that they may have known him previously and expected him to resist. Thats no reason to kneel on his neck though, he should have the book thrown at him.

@seansnooze I don't see it as racially motivated like some have suggested It'll definitely carry a charge, and will really depend on the intelligence of the Gardai

He apparently fractured an elderly man's hip and was notorious for shoplifting, he should have been removed from the country long ago. That being said, the force used was excessive, the knee on the neck was unwarranted considering there were another 2 or 3 people holding him.

@RDCongoMAE We respectfully call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo, , to urgently follow the case of Congolese national Yves Sakila, who died following a violent restraint incident in Dublin, Ireland. Videos and witness testimonies circulating publicly raise serious concerns regarding the treatment Mr. Yves Sakila was subjected to before becoming unresponsive. We respectfully ask for: - diplomatic follow-up with Irish authorities, - support for the family, - an independent and transparent investigation, - accountability if wrongdoing is established. We also call on Irish authorities and human-rights institutions to ensure that justice and transparency prevail. @kayikwambaT @RDCongoMAE @gardainfo @DeptJusticeIRL @IrishHumanRights @MigrantRightsIr @INARIreland @amnestyIRL @rtenews @IrishTimes @thejournal_ie @DublinLive @Independent_ie #JusticeForYvesSakila #JusticeForYves #BlackLivesMatterIreland

@Padraiccleary No, not easy by any means but the rules are very clear on force. That guy went well outside the boundaries of his job. That being said, it wasn't murder like some are suggesting, just an incredibly stupid decision in the heat of the moment that he should be charged for.

@seansnooze Retail security isn't easy, and backup isn't always there. Definitely time to review PSA and regulations to make sure they are fit for purpose

@Padraiccleary I did it around a decade ago, they can only use the absolute lowest force necessary and only as a last resort. They also must prove to have use the SCONE method to identify them.

@seansnooze I haven't done PSA training, but I don't think it's allowed there either I find it impossible to accept anything outside a custodial sentence, even short for being involved in the unlawful death of another person

@Padraiccleary Nor would I or AGS, its explicitly banned from their own protocols. That security guard is done for, although I wouldn't hold my breath for any substantial punishment considering the light sentences that are handed out.

@seansnooze It's surreal, subduing another person until Gardai can arrive. Do they have a weapon, do you have support, are the resisting I could never consider a knee on the neck proportional with back up, no weapon, and quick Garda response My condolences to his family

@Padraiccleary Yeah, the way he was digging down into his neck was wholly unnecessary, clearly not the right person to be a security guard, reasonable force went out the window there.

@seansnooze Agree on the excessive force - two on one would have been enough until AGS turned up And any pressure on the spine is a red flag

@fitzr1189 @Oismur Yeah, fair play, wont begrudge it... as much as I want to. 😅 Not looking forward to the delusion from the fanbase. "BeSt TeAm To EvEr PlAy FoOtBaLl" 🤪 City shat the bed tonight although Bournemouth played a blinder, they've been impressive all season to be fair.

@Oismur BRIDE OF CHARLIE: where a logic-free internet sleuth goes completely off the deep end. Turning Point USA’s new CEO used AI deepfakes, Israeli spy planes, and Jeffrey Epstein’s secret "Gilgamesh network" to take over the world! 😂

@donnachaabu If anything, it's involuntary manslaughter, not murder. Killing someone, regardless of whether there was intent or not, is never okay but having an opinion on immigration doesn't mean condoning taking a life. I think you're being somewhat hyperbolic here.

Pep Guardiola is a phenomenal manager and has been mind-blowingly effective at City. I'll be sorry to see him go, but what a decade that was! As for the people going on about resources or the "115" or whatever else. Cry more, you'd have had him at your club if you could.

@HaydenHewitt Would be interesting to see him go international, I could see him managing England in the future but would happily take him in Ireland, what with our star studded team. Who needs Kane when we have Parrott! 😂

@seansnooze He's already said that what he does can only be done by elite players. I don't doubt he'd adapt if he had to but I can't see why he would. Be interesting to see where he goes from here. Maybe international football?

@KeithMillsD7 The amount of barber shops and phone shops that, every time you pass them, have little to no customers yet somehow remain operational is astounding. Always "cash only" too.

This is how the flotilla sociopaths care for children in Gaza. They believe that throwing confectionery into the ocean for them on video is somehow appropriate. 🤯
