Arsenal have done it!!! 🏆❤️ Congratulations to Mikel Arteta and the entire team. Congratulations to every Arsenal fan across the world who endured the ridicule, heartbreaks, banter, near-misses, and those blood-pressure-inducing final weeks for the past 22 long years. From the dark days of “almost there” to being mocked as “bottlers”, this club kept fighting, and tonight the red half of North London stands tall again. To those who stayed loyal through the chaos, the memes, the suffering, the Europa nights, the dodgy refereeing decisions, and the annual emotional damage… THIS one is for you. 😭🏆 The boys have brought the Premier League back where it belongs. The Emirates will be rocking, North London will not sleep tonight, and the streets will be painted RED. See you all at the Victory Parade. Bring the scarves, bring the voices, bring the tears. WE ARE THE MIGHTY GUNNERS. WE ARE CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND. ❤️🏆 #Champions #COYG #Arsenal #PremierLeague #NorthLondonForever

Love in Zimbabwe used to require skills that today’s generation will never understand 😭😂 Dating was basically undercover police work. You had to: *Hide from relatives *Avoid every elder over the age of 35 *Master side-road navigation *Have escape routes in case an aunt spotted you Because being seen holding hands with a girl was enough for some elder to conduct a full investigation: “Ngokabani umntwana lo?” 😭( Whose child is this?) School days were beautiful. Not because of education. Because there was a chance of seeing HER 😭 Our dates? Ah yes, premium romance. A private rocky bush spot, one green apple and a packet of Chimombe fresh milk. Till today I still want to sit down with my younger self and ask: “Son, who convinced you this was luxury dating?” 😭😂 She enjoyed it though. No KFC. No chips. No restaurant. Just calcium and Vitamin C. Everything had military precision because she had to sneak back home before somebody’s aunt became a CCTV camera. Then life happened. Marriage. Children. Work. Bills. Relatives. And somehow our house slowly became a branch of Home Affairs. Every weekend somebody was arriving. No warning. You wake up hearing: “Sivakatshele nje” 😭 Finished. There goes your Saturday. Dates disappeared. We became full-time marriage administrators and part-time husband and wife. Recently I jokingly said: “Maybe we should book a room at a 5-star hotel.” I was joking. I had no money for that. My wife heard: “Emergency romantic operation activated.” 😭 She immediately started discussing clothes, plans and logistics. At that point I realised this joke had entered the construction phase. So I booked it. Now here is the plot twist. I’m behaving exactly like teenage me. Counting down days. Heart racing. Sweet fantasies have taken over my mind. Random smiling. Checking hotel photos every 20 minutes. Today on the phone I told her: Me: “I’m getting the same excitement I had when we were dating.” Her: “Me too. I was even showing off to our daughter on the way to church.” Then she said: “I’m even wondering if we should skip church and just enjoy ourselves.” I almost dropped my phone 😭😂 I said: “If we go, somebody will bring a problem, ask for advice or invite us somewhere.” For once we need peace. “We are going to do Sabbath school at the hotel room” I said.😀😀 Now we’re discussing outfits and places to explore. And I’ve realised: Somewhere between paying bills and solving everybody else’s problems………. we forgot to date each other. Suddenly I’m back in school. Only difference now: I can finally afford more than a green apple and Chimombe 😭😂 And no rocky place to do romance things, with snoopy Lizards and geckos. Premium room with Skyline views🤗🤗 How is your marriage/relationship going? Are you still dating or you have become stagnant like us. Its time to flip the page and live again.

Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye to Zimbabwe. What a journey this sojourn has been. A true roller coaster. From laughter and celebrations to heartbreak and grief, then somehow finding moments to smile again through it all. On 11 April, we gathered at the village in Redhill Njanja to celebrate the lives of our dearly departed grandparents, unveiling tombstones for them and for our late uncles too. It was emotional, but beautiful. A family united in remembrance, love and respect. Barely a week later, we were back again under dark clouds, laying my Aunt Grace to rest after her sudden passing. Life can change in an instant. One moment you are celebrating legacy, the next you are mourning loss. That hit hard. Through it all, I was carried by the love, support and warmth of family and friends. I want to thank my sister Charmaine for the logistical support, Blu Innovations @bluinnovations1 for the service kit, and Oliver “Twist” Madzinga of Cardeck Auto for keeping the Green Beast purring like a content lion. To family, friends and the #PyjamaParty possé, thank you for the laughter, the company and the warmth. To my daughter Cory, thank you for keeping the home fires burning . Thank you Sisi Ruth, Sekuru Manu and Endurance for making my stay comfortable, keeping me well fed, and for all the running around that had to be done behind the scenes. Sekuru Manu, I truly appreciate you. Mama Rose… thank you for everything you do for us. Love you very much. There are simply too many people to mention individually, but every phone call, every plate of food, every lift, every laugh, every comforting word and every embrace meant something. I leave teary-eyed and heavy-hearted. Leaving home never gets easier. But as they say, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. Until next time, Zimbabwe. Cheers for now. Later is gonna be greater.

@daddyhope Who tagged Daddy? Daddy did not see and read the Nelson Chamisa response on his own. Thankyou so much for tagging him. He could have missed the response. And we could have missed his "rich" analysis

I have been tagged in Nelson Chamisa’s response because I wrote about this story yesterday. Fortunately, I am a trained journalist, and I understand the difference between a denial and a claim that a story is “misleading.” Nelson Chamisa did not say the story was false. He did not say, “I never said this.” He did not deny making the remarks. Instead, he said the story was misleading. He is a lawyer, and lawyers choose their words very carefully. When someone says a story is misleading, they are usually saying that some or all of the information may be true, but that they disagree with the interpretation, framing, emphasis, or context in which it was presented. That is completely different from saying the story is fabricated or false. A false story means: “This never happened.” “I never said those words.” A misleading story means: “I said something, but you have interpreted or presented it in a way I disagree with.” Those are two completely different things. So to the folks who tagged me trying to suggest there was a denial, please go and educate yourself before attacking journalists. You will quickly realise that Nelson Chamisa did not deny the story. He challenged the way it was framed and interpreted. I cannot be held hostage to people’s ignorance about how words are used, especially in politics and law. As I said, Nelson Chamisa is a lawyer. He is a clever man, and he knows exactly what he has done in that statement. He has not denied the story. He did not say, “This is false.” He did not say, “I never said these things.” Instead, he said the story is misleading. Those are two completely different things.

IGNORE THE MISCHIEF..,I have noted with deep concern the Daily News front-page story titled, “This engineered pact is hopeless,” which appears to allege that I have dismissed the efforts of others to advance the struggle for a better Zimbabwe in a manner they consider appropriate. Regrettably, the story is misleading, is a work of editorial fiction, and is intended to inflict injury. It is a fundamental principle of journalism that reporters should report the news, not manufacture it. When editorial standards are compromised in this way, public trust and our freedoms are put at risk. I remain fully committed to representing the interests of the citizens of Zimbabwe and to advancing the struggle for a better country. In due course, I will be rolling out a plan aimed at achieving that goal. Any attempts to distract us from this objective will not succeed. Thank you for your consideration of my take. A New Great Zimbabwe in our lifetime. The citizens shall govern!

Ol’skooling with my big Sis Stel, the General Manager and CEO of “Back In Our Day Pvt Ltd” 😆 , eldest of the Magnificent 7 siblings ,at her crib in #BeautifulZimbabwe where vibes, memories and soft life met under one roof. We spent the evening travelling back to an era when unlocking the house phone with a hair clip was considered advanced telecommunications engineering 🤣📞. One quick “click-click” and suddenly you were calling somebody’s daughter after midnight while praying nobody picked up on the extension line in the bedroom. Earth, Wind & Fire on full blast. The Commodores. The Whispers. Tower of Power. The Dazz Band. Midnight Star. Starpoint. Shalamar. George Benson. The O’Jays. Al Jarreau. Pure groove. Saturday-cleaning-the-house-with-polish-and-ammonia soundtrack 😅 Sis Stel together with my late Uncle Newton MHSRIP and Uncle Norman shaped my musical taste early. If you grew up around people with serious vinyl collections and giant speakers wrapped in wood veneer, your ears were trained properly from childhood 😄 And by the way… those telephones are ORIGINALS from around late 1978. Sis kept them all these years. That typewriter is the actual machine she used when she worked as a PA back in the day. Zoom into the Pitman shorthand book there 😄 Youngsters won’t understand this… but back then a typist was elite level 😅 Student nurse were prestige. Telephone operator at The Exchange was Celebrity status. Bank teller at Founders, Beverley or Barclays? Ahhh… automatic street credibility in the ghetto 🤣🤣 Back then if your girlfriend worked in an office and carried a handbag full of carbon paper, Tippex and shorthand pads… you were basically dating royalty 😭😂 #HappinessIsOurBusiness #TheKingIsAround #OldSchoolVibes #BeautifulZimbabwe

@cdesetfree And boss do you believe that number? This figure came up in 1982 following results of National Census of that particular year. It was a claim that It is a 'narional' team by some naughty and devout supporters. It is, however, not a true statistic

If Dynamos Football Club truly has 7 million supporters, imagine if every supporter contributed just 50 cents to the club. 7 million multiplied by 50 cents would raise around US$3.5 million. With that kind of money the club could easily buy two buses, improve player welfare, invest in junior development, clear debts and still remain with a healthy amount in the bank for other expenses. This shows that sometimes the problem is not always resources, but organisation, unity, trust and commitment from all stakeholders involved. Small contributions become very powerful when millions of people participate together. Football clubs across the world are sustained by their supporters through memberships, merchandise and community funding. Dynamos is a giant institution with a massive fan base and the potential is there if properly mobilised. But vanhu vacho havadi zvavo.

It’s Monday morning here in Australia and we’ve already clocked in. Hard hats on. Coffee down. Hustle activated. ☕️⛑️ As the week begins, I’m genuinely praying that better things come your way. That opportunity you’ve been waiting for. That breakthrough you’ve been working quietly for. That phone call, contract, interview, healing, peace of mind or financial relief you desperately need. May this be the week something finally shifts in your favour. And if things are still tough right now, don’t give up on yourself. Some blessings take time to locate hardworking people. Have a productive and blessed week everyone. 🤝🏾
