We have a double whammy of Strictly Seashell news this weekend! We shared our wonderful silent auction prizes and link with you yesterday and today we get to unveil our judging panel. We're super excited to announce that Dr Ranj and Dr Punam are back by popular demand, while professional dancer Nadiya Bychkova is joining is for the first time this year! Dr Ranj will be the panel's Head Judge this year and we're very grateful to Judges' Sponsor Franklyn. A brilliant day visiting our partner @seashelltrust today 💙 We were lucky enough to get a full tour of Seashell Trust's brand-new facilities and college - and it's genuinely amazing to see. For anyone unfamiliar, Seashell is a charity supporting children and young people with complex needs, helping them live fuller, more independent lives. After the tour, we sat down in their lovely new offices with Emma Wright and Marie Travers to talk through everything SEO, AI, PPC and website. It's Strictly Saturday time again and we have two more dancers to announce! Harrison Broadley-Byrne and John Illingworth are our 5th and 6th dancers we've named, and they're both excited for Strictly Seashell 2026: A Night at the Musicals. Harrison's parents run the popular restaurant LI~LY while John is a retired businessman. Both have relatively little dance experience, but what they lack in knowledge they're making up for with dedication to their dance lessons and bags of enthusiasm! It's that exciting time of week again - Strictly Saturday! This week we have two new dancers to announce - Sasha Makel and Ed Yates. Sasha is the Managing Director of Brazen PR and says she's part of our event to raise money and support Seashell families. Ed is an orthopaedic surgeon and was really inspired when he visited our site for himself. Strictly Seashell: A Night at the Musicals is on Saturday, 16th May. We can't wait to see all our dancers in action and raise money towards our work with young people with the most complex disabilities.

At Seashell, students are supported to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Our approach to learning enables students to make incredible progress during their time with us. In 2024-25, 87% of students achieved their individual Education/Learning Plan, with the remainder still making significant progress. We were honoured to attend the @gmchamber Circularity in Practice initiative, inspired by His Majesty the King. Our CEO Brandon was invited to share the work Seashell has done to embrace sustainability and outline our future commitments. Brandon said: “It was an extraordinary honour to attend the Circularity in Practice initiative led by His Majesty the King. "This initiative offered a valuable opportunity to share our commitment to sustainability and the ways we are already embedding re use, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility across Seashell.”

Seashell's President @ged_mason is generously hosting a charity clay pigeon event in the stunning grounds of Ollerton Grange near Knutsford. Two charities are benefitting from the two-day event, and Seashell's day will be on Friday, 5th June from 9am to 4pm. There will be 24 teams on the day and teams of four are £2,400. It's Strictly Saturday and we're so excited to announce our host for this year's event is the FAB-U-LOUS Gethin Jones! As a familiar face on BBC One’s Morning Live, Gethin is known and loved by viewers across the UK for his warmth, energy and ability to get everyone involved – making him the perfect host for Strictly Seashell: A Night at the Musicals on Saturday, 16th May. Many will also remember him from reaching the semi-finals of Strictly Come Dancing and his time presenting It Takes Two, so he certainly knows his way around the ballroom! But it’s his passion for people and community that makes him such a fantastic fit for Seashell. We’re especially grateful for Gethin’s continued support of Seashell over the years, having hosted our previous three Strictly Seashell events.
