What an INCREDIBLE night! The @mjstocks1 Farewell Charity Ball raised an outstanding £1,081,227! This total will be split amongst five beneficiaries and others, including Seashell. We are so incredibly grateful to be involved in this showstopping event and to everyone who donated money towards this total. It's Strictly Saturday and we're so excited to announce our host for this year's event is the FAB-U-LOUS Gethin Jones! As a familiar face on BBC One’s Morning Live, Gethin is known and loved by viewers across the UK for his warmth, energy and ability to get everyone involved – making him the perfect host for Strictly Seashell: A Night at the Musicals on Saturday, 16th May. Many will also remember him from reaching the semi-finals of Strictly Come Dancing and his time presenting It Takes Two, so he certainly knows his way around the ballroom! But it’s his passion for people and community that makes him such a fantastic fit for Seashell. We’re especially grateful for Gethin’s continued support of Seashell over the years, having hosted our previous three Strictly Seashell events. We're excited to be attending @BATOD_uk Conference again in April. This year the conference is celebrating its 50th anniversary! Our Audiology and Sensory Teams will be sharing our specialist offer for children and young adults with complex disabilities, including sharing our skills and knowledge through assessment, intervention and training opportunities. It's Strictly Saturday and we're thrilled to announce our second Event Partner is @EricWrightGroup The team have been working closely with Seashell for a number of years, most recently they've been building our new Ged Mason Building, which is now open and will be home to our Royal College Manchester students from Monday! "This project represents far more than bricks and mortar; it is an investment in opportunity, independence, and a brighter future for young people with complex needs. We were delighted to attend the MIMA Awards to be their co-charity partner for this year's event. The awards evening raised £2,930 which will be split equally between the two charity partners. Thank you MIMA for your generous donation!

Our friends at Slater & Gordon are hosting a FREE online workshop for parents and carers. The event will cover medical negligence and education law and may be able to help with any questions participants have around incorrect medical treatments, advice on EHCPs, and representation at SEND tribunals. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Chris Smale, who has stepped down from Chair of the Board at Seashell after five years.
