Former Bayern president Uli Hoeneß on ticket pricing: “We could charge more than €120 per season ticket. If we charge €350 per season ticket we would get €2m extra, but what does that mean for us? The difference for a fan between €120 and €350 is enormous and we do not believe that fans are like cows, which are milked. Football has to be for everyone. That is the biggest difference between us and England.” 👏👏

🏟️ There is no netting across the away end. As the stadium has a running track, the away section is located some distance from the pitch. The away seating area is exceptionally steep, with 40 rows of seats. There are no handrails and there are in excess of 80 steps to the very top. The stadium has a running track, so the away section is some distance from the pitch. The seats are old and some are damaged. A number of the concrete steps are also uneven and cracked. Those with ambulant needs are recommended to sit on the front two rows. Although there are seat details on the tickets, Bologna have advised that they operate an unreserved seating policy. The entire away seating area is open to the elements, we recommend you dress appropriately for the weather forecast #AVFC

"What would you rather, a £10m fine or a ten-point deduction?" David Moyes believes the Premier League must clarify why Chelsea were fined for making secret transfer payments while others received points deductions for other rule breaches @_pauljoyce 🔽 thetimes.com/sport/football…

The Premier League is at an all time low. The football has become boring, there is corruption on and off the pitch, VAR has drained the life out of the game, fans are being priced out, and the schedule is all over the place. It’s becoming increasingly harder to enjoy

Conor Gallagher is a smart signing by Spurs. He brings some of the qualities they are crying out for. He brings leadership, and could be a future captain. He's a very positive character and could bring the best out of others. Xavi Simons might benefit from Gallagher’s energy and support. He brings a ferocious press which Spurs need (Dominic Solanke’s return will help). Gallagher also brings a point to prove, especially to Thomas Tuchel. He’s played 22x for England, been to the last two tournaments but has slipped down the midfield pecking order with the rise of Elliot Anderson, Curtis Jones and Adam Wharton, Alex Scott’s emergence and Jordan Henderson’s return. He brings versatility - four different positions for England. He’s a 6 or 8, capable of runs into box. He has the athleticism, work-rate and stamina for box-to-box role. Returning from Atletico Madrid, the 25-year-old brings tactical savviness and a more streetwise streak having played 77x under Diego Simeone. He brings total commitment, as former clubs will attest, including Chelsea, whom he captained (including against Spurs) and loan clubs like Palace where he was POTY. He does get booked too often (66 xYC, 2xRC) but improved recently. He's more than a “Pitbull” as dubbed by Atletico. Gallagher brings a decent but not overly special passing range (Spurs’ midfield still lacks a Wharton-type) and decent scoring touch (33 goals in 290 club games), and in big games: for Palace at Manchester City and at Brighton; the late curling winner for Chelsea at Palace in 2022, and two more at Palace in 2024; and for Atletico v Real in CL last year after 27 seconds. He also brings availability, always an issue for Spurs with their injury record. In the last two seasons, Gallagher’s played 60 and 54 games (27 so far this season). He never hides, never shirks responsibility. Tottenham fans should (eventually) forget Gallagher's Chelsea roots. He's exactly the type of character and player that Spurs need. #THFC

When Everton, a massive Club who shouldn’t be in the Championship, were in a similar situation to us a few years ago, they backed the team. They turned the toxicity off. Goodison became a fortress. The fans played their part. We HAVE to do the same, beginning tonight. 🤍

Why I quit watching movies and series… 🎬 -White guys are always the bad guys -Black guys are always the heroes -Women suddenly turn into Rambo -Dads are always the idiots -Moms run the show - Kids are being sexualized -Traditional values are mocked every time -Men are made to look weak and pathetic -Tr00ns are shoehorned into every plot -And the gay character magically knows everything Hollywood’s just a propaganda machine now. Do yourself a favor and turn off your TV.

The British public has footed the bill for an immigration system that feels out of control and unfair. We’re stopping this. It is only fair that migrants with an income or sizeable assets will have to contribute to the cost of their stay, not the taxpayer.

🇮🇹 There is an amateur Italian football team based just outside Genoa - in Voltri, Liguria to be precise - called Aston Birra (the Italian word for beer)! They have recreated the Aston Villa badge with the lion holding a beer and even wear claret and blue shirts like their English namesakes!
