I m happy to present our latest preprint, and the main work of my PhD-project: "GTestimate: Improving relative gene expression estimation in scRNA-seq using the Good-Turing estimator" In this manuscript we introduce a new normalization method for scRNA-seq data.

🤯 The level of sophistication of the XZ attack is very impressive! I tried to make sense of the analysis in a single page (which was quite complicated)! I hope it helps to make sense of the information out there. Please treat the information "as is" while the analysis progresses! 🧐 #infosec #xz

@andrewsu I intended to convey that I found the atmosphere at the meeting depressing, from the very beginning. Hope that helps, Andrew!

@andrewsu Q: But you were still using the sentence that you felt treated very unfairly (discriminated against?). A: Using the term "very unfairy treatment/discriminated against" was a mistake. Unfortunately, I did it because I had the article of CNV infront of me.

Would a native German speaker be so kind as to translate this passage for me? In particular, I'm getting conflicting translations of "bedrückend" as either "depressing" or "oppressive"...

Today, we’re introducing a new model that eliminates accept/reject decisions. By publishing every paper with eLife reviews as a Reviewed Preprint, we plan to restore autonomy to authors, ensuring that they will be judged by what, not where, they publish. elifesciences.org/inside-elife/5…
