I spent the last few weeks looking into child sex trafficking in Louisiana and victim resources as part of our advocacy rotation. Per DCFS data, in 2021 Orleans parish had the highest number of trafficking victims compared to other parishes - 100 out of the total 530.

Pediatrician here. I want people to know that death by firearm is not rare in kids. In fact, it has been the #1 cause death in this age group since 2020. In 2020 alone, 4300 children died from firearms. That’s equivalent to one Boeing 747 plane crash every month for 9 months.
