What a messy rollout. Codex disappeared from my Mac. No notification nothing and my ChatGPT app had no Codex in it and I had both ChatGTP and Chat GPT "Classic" installed. I had to manually reinstall ChatGPT to get the new onboarding screen and the new update.

Absolutely drunk with Codex power this weekend due to the usage resets. I worked on my job job on one Mac and four side apps on another Mac. Agents running everywhere doing way more than code: images, video, browser use, computer use. I’m gonna go outside now.

I now have Wender, Wight, and Weald. I'm leaning into the obscure W words as my brand.

Friggin Codex man. Asked it to make a storyboard, went back and forth until I liked it, then it made me a 4k video for the app I'm working on.

Playing with Sonnet 5 and Sol 5.6 in Wender. Both designs below have zero extra styling instructions from Wender. Same prompt, just a few words: "a street fashion site called LAYERS. use a really edgy design style." Different colors, but it's basically the exact same design from two entirely different models. I strongly expect that available training data sets are causing these models to converge in style. Humans are so divergent in our creativity, but LLMs are causing a massive, likely unprecedented reduction in the diversity of visual design. I'm obviously super AI-pilled and I run an AI design platform, but I'm pleading with designers to put in the extra effort to inject human creativity into the work they do. Consider LLM output to be somewhere along the lines of a Squarespace template. A good start, but if you're just doing light customization on it, the result will be something that looks just like everything else.

New Codex/ChatGPT app is a lot better than you all led me to believe. Basically it's Codex... and I like Codex. I barely care about chat anymore so I'm fine with that part being the one they messed with and made weird.
