Eeerrrr ‘World Championships’ Para Swimming, there’s no swimmers there. How is that called a world championships? Go figure?

@sharrond62 @Swim_England My coach contact tells me that the officials who get undressed next to the swimmers in the changing rooms do not have to be DBS checked or safeguard trained. And that’s ok but a coach can’t tell a swimmer they need to work hard? Go figure that priority

Women have 1% of US sports sponsorship dollar, 4% sports prime time tv. 1000 Uk women earn their living from sport compared to 11,000 men! A tiny piece of the commercial earning cake. No 2 to fire up the debate. The female swimmer on the bbc recently, talking about being shamed and cake tested whilst she was at Plymouth was coached by the SE head of coaching at that point. Why no investigation in to that one? Go figure...

Next one to fire up the debate. When is the NPD going to be investigated for making sexually suggestive comments about how he likes the look of Ben Proud to the team what’s app? Surely that’s an issue if someone can be suspended for sending a message to a swimmer in what’s app?

So to open the debate, who is getting bullied? I say it’s the coaches. Swim England sanction, suspend and blacklist coaches with no right to hear what they are accused of and no ability to address any complaints. Go figure.
