@Provokethoughtz As children, America was taught Paul Bunyan and John Henry, both were the same story. He represents the hard working man that would rather die than be replaced by a machine. When the story disappeared, so did men not wanting to be replaced. It was never about the money we earned.

@Provokethoughtz Ronald Reagan aside, Americans wasn't prosperous under higher taxes. We simply invented objects of the future and consumers decided the future we live in. It's the same reason women stop wearing corsets while riding horses to work.

If billionaires paid taxes, real taxes the way they used to Before Ronald Reagan changed it for them, and if farming practices changed from the factory farming model that the US loves and went to permaculture/ holistic agriculture, we would be able to feed everyone and rebuild infrastructure.
