@seduff_ Omg Romeo + Juliet is the only movie I almost stole from our local cinema. I had if I could have played it anywhere. I saw it SO many times (lived close by the cinema) and cried my eues eyes out every time.

Romeo + Juliet (1996) has one of the most era-defining soundtracks of the 90s. Baz Luhrmann mixed classical tragedy with Radiohead, The Cardigans, Garbage, and that unforgettable “Kissing You” by Des’ree.

@centennialreylo My theory is HE’s the one who chose to ‘end’ Ben Solo in TROS, despite him being the most popular character of the sequel trilogy. That’s why he simply refused to bring him back. So glad he’s outta there. the ‘giant foam finger’ imagery 😆

#thehuntforbensolo its very telling how after bob is out soderbergh continues pointing a giant foam finger at him reiterating that the only thing standing in the way of his movie was that guy over there who "didn't think ben solo could be alive"

@ctgolf17 It seems like they had full backing from Lucasfilm and according to Kathleen Kennedy this is the first and only time Disney has refused to green-light a project that has reached this point in development. No wonder they went public.

@seduff_ I agree, but it’s a little silly to spend that much time before getting any sort of green light, and then getting mad when you don’t get the auto green light. He went ahead of his skis all on his own. Sure should be made but it’s not Disney’s fault he spent so much time on it.

The reason this movie is so compelling isn't that it's a groundbreaking idea or even that Ben Solo is THE character ppl want to see again; it's that Adam Driver is one of the only artists in the blockbuster franchise machine who so deeply understands and cares about his character

A franchise that’s brought back every dead character under the sun, but the one guy pretty much everybody agrees shouldn’t have died is apparently off-limits. lol
