We understand that most of the names of #cassava varieties aside TME 419 are not known & easy to remember. We have therefore decided to rename them with marketable names. Join us tomorrow for the #virtual cassava varieties renaming event and to engage with the cassava breeders.

@MaruthiMNGowda Indeed, Lava has done a superb job with SeedTracker, & we will be making a big push this year to get more than 400 cassava seed entrepreneurs in #Tanzania registered on the system, helping market their seed. The next step is to scale further. We're working on that right now 😁😁

How #TOSCI get their competence Authorized #cassava #seed inspectors(ASIs)? 1. Trainees attend 12 days training, 2. Trainees practice diseases recognition and certification in fields 3. Trainees examined through #proficiency testing 4. Awarding #certification for qualified ASIs.
