The highlight of the whole DLC was probably the home village reveal. Genuinely breathtaking when the music hit and you got little bits and pieces of lore. Such a great setting for it too, and puts a lot of pieces together lore wise. I actually shed a tear

Abyssal Woods was really exciting at the start, but was such a let down in terms of exploration. No Torrent with shitty items as pickups after walking around for an hour sucked. The legacy dungeon at the end and the boss were awesome tho. Prob the best boss besides Rellana.

Also I genuinely hope fromsoft doesn't do more open world. For me, there were so many parts of the DLC that felt like a slog to explore and didnt reward you at all. It was carried by how beautiful it was and that definitely deserves a lot of praise(1/2)

1st boss in fromsoft games that i had to use a shield for. took me 4 hours, maybe theres something i was missing but the consistant drop to 30fps made me not want to just tough it out. had to drop to 720p all low settings to make it playable (3070ti btw)

Really loved the DLC. Rich in lore and atmosphere. Some amazing bosses. Final boss 1st phase was great. Final phase was a huge disappointment. Really soiled my entire opinion with such a weak finish. Whole dlc enforces the "dont spam roll" just to ditch that at the very end

@Ziostorm1 I get what they're trying to do, they want people to level up and try all the new weapons. it's a decent idea, but most people have all the smithing stone bell bearings so it doesn't really matter. Wish they gave that along with idk another flask charge or wondrous tears

doing an all achievements run of DS3 while waiting for the DLC. its honestly crazy the difference in graphics from this game to Sekiro, Elden Ring, and AC6. I know nothing about game dev but its crazy to me how theyve been using the same engine since Demons Souls
