This kind of moronic statement proves my original point. Even a middle schooler would know that being in the tails (±3σ) is actually the correct place for outliers. Calling it “-3σ” instead of “+3σ” is arbitrary in this context
Most “normal” individuals are raised to fit predictably in the middle of the normal distribution. They have been sufficiently trained at home & in school to remain docile, think & act like slaves do. Anything genuinely original, sounds negative & offensive to them.
