@mar__mars A lot of millenials (especially women, double-especially the women who'd bemoan lack of access to 'creation') completely failed to follow younger people into this new space. The boundary between creator and fan had by then become a kind of comfort. Warm TV static.

@mar__mars As you say the distinction stopped making sense as modding culture and various sandboxes took off. Minecraft Roblox Gmod whatever. Gradually, the transformative became curative and the curative became transformative.

A far more interesting question to pose would be why female dominated fandoms inherently perceive prose fiction and roleplay as the main forms transformative works are allowed to take, as opposed to exploring other mediums. Fangames, anyone?

i think a more interesting question to me is why c!s het men don't create or engage with fanfiction.

@Wrahio On a new account? (I can't just stalk people's followings to answer these questions because every list of tweets or users stops loading after 50 items and is ordered completely randomly.)

@NordicIago The 900 terrible Hololive orisongs in that mode kind of turned me against it.

I *just* found Blade of the Sun again after all these years through exploring these weird artificial accounts. Now I see it. I'm on BladeoftheSun twitter.
But I still don't know what the fuck BladeoftheSun is. There are so many accounts that look exactly like this.

Most classically disturbed people feel like cases of "extreme allism" in that they're constantly entering into these implicit pacts with everyone around them whose rupture is then seen as betrayal or persecution.

Human minds might be built to model other minds all their waking hours but they're built to do it the way male anglerfish are built to die.

@Kraterocrat I like that the guy he's quoting is like a normal "apolitical" anime fan. Just hitting him with this random standards-enforcement jab. One for the road.

@KampfgruppeKrag There are places in the world where women write Houseki no Kuni and places where they don't. Whatever the cause, I doubt it's intractable.
English

@KampfgruppeKrag Somewhat optimistic that what you're gesturing at here will improve as "women's spaces" are dragged out of the reactionary mire, possibly as 'genics kick in too. We'll see.
