FYI: there is zero need to rush to confirm anything you have heard. Just wait. If you are feeling perturbed by something you have heard, to the extent that you feel urgency to confirm it — and it does not pertain to your own family — you need to unplug from the news feed for a while. When the trumpet for the Last Day is blown, there will be some people running around asking "did you hear that? Was that the trumpet?" While other people will continue planting their trees. Be like the latter.

@OElamien Analysis ≠ Justification Understanding ≠ Support If clarity feels like “excusing” to you, that is a reflection of how you are interpreting, not what is being said.

11/ This is not about defending UAE. It is about recognizing how Sudan reached this point and refusing to fall into the same narratives that helped create the collapse in the first place. A reminder to me and you what Allah says: “O you who believe, if a fāsiq (an unreliable source) brings you news, verify it — so you do not harm people out of ignorance, then regret what you have done.” Qur’an 49:6 This is a command to verify whatever information you get before spreading claims, especially when those claims can shape war, peace, blame, or unity. Misdirected anger weakens Sudan and the Global South Clear analysis protects us all. Sudan cannot afford another mistake born from emotion instead of understanding. May Allah protect Sudan and grant justice, stability, and unity. dw.com/en/fact-check-…

Before repeating the viral claims about Sudan and the UAE, pause. Sudan’s tragedy is being weaponized online, not to help Sudan, but to redirect Sudanese anger away from the Western powers whose policies weakened Sudan for decades, and toward closer, easier targets instead. And Allah says: “O you who believe, if a fāsiq (an unreliable source) brings you news, verify it — so you do not harm people out of ignorance and later regret what you did.” — Qur’an 49:6 This is a command to think before sharing, especially when lives are involved.
