@AutisticCallum_ Illness cured me of this. But my 15 year old is suffering very badly from not achieving his own expectations. It’s heartbreaking.

Recovering from perfectionism as an Autistic person can be so hard, because when your brain is geared towards spotting and analysing patterns, you see how effective perfectionism can be at achieving superb results. It is draining, but can provide the top tier quality…

@DrJessTaylor Very well said! I’ve personally experienced abusive behaviour from a cafcass officer. This was many years ago but one does not forget. They are not perfect humans and have appeared to me to be poorly trained at times.

Dear CAFCASS, Here is my public ‘apology’. The letter they sent me is at the end of this video - I am not about to be bullied over email and so I am pushing this issue into the public domain for you. I cannot tell you how tired I am of these tactics. Jess.

@AutisticCallum_ I’m 54 and have worked out over the years that the people who do this have taken an instinctive dislike to me, based on being different and communicating differently. People who don’t take a dislike to me just think I’m “quirky” or unconventional and don’t misunderstand me.

The autistic urge to choose the most precise words when you speak - so there can be no confusion - only for some people to pay little attention to your words and pay more attention to your atypical facial expressions, tone and body language, and still end up misunderstanding you.

Do any other autistic people often come up with counter arguments to your own already well-reasoned thoughts, aiming to identify any potential weak points in your reasoning, only to find your arguments and counter arguments so compelling that you then end up unsure what to think?

One reason why autistic people’s challenges are often not understood or respected is that many of them are internal/invisible. You can’t see, hear or feel someone else’s sensory overload, executive dysfunction or burnout, so most have no awareness of what these are like for us.

A child in north Wales lost sight in one eye after keeping a hand over it for so long. Psychologists say it was a response to life at home so violent, the child “did not want to see the world through that eye”. A heartbreaking failure of safeguarding. ➡️ bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@MarinaPurkiss Privileged kids who get premium education are there more to network than anything else. Waste of resources. Society is skewed because these people are bred for power and personal gain, at the expense of the people they are supposedly “serving”.

Removing children from their mothers in family court proceedings in the name of parental alienation and related pseudo scientific beliefs is the worst, most harmful social engineering experiment of our time. States internationally have to stop this cruelty.

I’m in the airport pub (Wetherspoons) and came across an elderly couple. We started talking and they said they’re leaving England due to the amount of foreigners. I said same. There was a glint of sadness in their eyes We had a very productive conversation. They told me they sold their property portfolio because foreigners kept not paying rent They both had branded aluminum hand luggage worth $3k. Millionaires leaving the UK
