On the 30th of April, I formally took a decisive step by purchasing my nomination form to contest once again for the senatorial seat I currently occupy. This decision is not driven by personal ambition, but by an unwavering commitment to the collective progress and prosperity of every citizen across Edo South Senatorial District. It is a well-established fact in legislative governance that experience and continuity matter. My return to the Senate will not only consolidate the gains we have made but also position Edo South more favorably within the corridors of national decision-making. This is about strengthening our voice, deepening our impact, and ensuring that Edo South continues to receive its fair share of opportunities and development. Together, we can build on a foundation of experience, deliver greater results, and secure a more prosperous future for our people.

Yesterday, the 25th of April, I gave report of my 30 months stewardship at the Nigerian Senate. Leaders and Stakeholders of our great party,the All Progressives Congress (APC), applauded my representation so far. I also used the event to officially declare my interest in seeking re-election to my current seat in the Nigerian Senate, with the determination to continue serving as a member representing Edo South in the 11th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In my address, I spoke passionately about unity, emphasizing the need for our people to stand together in pursuit of progress and sustainable development. I took time to explain in detail how the Senate works, the importance of legislative experience, and why effective representation requires both knowledge and strategic relationships. After extensive consultations with leaders of our great party across Edo South, I made it clear that experience counts. Leadership is not by chance, it is built on capacity, consistency, and proven service. I proudly declared that experience matters, and with the support of the people, I remain committed to delivering stronger representation and greater opportunities for our district.

Last year, I organized a medical outreach at Idogbo in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area as part of our commitment to improving access to basic healthcare in our communities. Building on that effort, this year we have successfully extended similar outreaches across the seven Local Government Areas of Edo South Senatorial District, reaching more people and addressing critical health needs at the grassroots. I am pleased to inform you that on Wednesday, 8th April 2025, we will be hosting another medical outreach, this time focused on residents of Evbotubu community. The outreach will take place at Evbotubu Primary Health Centre in Egor Local Government Area, where free medical consultations, basic treatments, and health education will be provided. This initiative remains part of our broader commitment to delivering people-centered representation and ensuring that quality healthcare is not a privilege, but a right accessible to all. I encourage all residents of Evbotubu and neighboring communities to take advantage of this opportunity. Together, we will continue to build healthier communities and a stronger, more inclusive Edo South.

Ramadan Palliatives: Senator Imasuen Reaches Edo South Muslims, Reaffirms Inclusive Leadership Senator Neda Imasuen has reaffirmed his commitment to people-focused leadership following the distribution of Ramadan palliatives to the Muslim faithful across Edo South. The lawmaker said the outreach, featuring essential food items such as bags of rice and beans, garri and other staples was aimed at easing the burden on families during the fasting period and in preparation for Sallah celebrations. He commended the diverse Muslim community, comprising Benin, Afemai, Esan, Hausa and Yoruba faithful, for their prayers and steadfast support, assuring them of continued responsive and inclusive representation. “I remain committed to accessible leadership and responsive governance. My doors will always remain open to the people, regardless of background, faith or political affiliation,” Imasuen stated. The senator pledged to consolidate his legislative strides and humanitarian efforts, stressing that improving the welfare and living standards of Edo South constituents remains his top priority. He also called for unity and peaceful coexistence, urging residents to use the Ramadan period to pray for the progress and stability of Edo South and the nation at large.
