Today marks the 47th anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act, the foundation of the growing U.S.-Taiwan defense, tech, and trade partnership. I am proud to stand with Taiwan as they face Communist China’s continued illegal, coercive, and deceptive actions. The U.S. remains committed to Taiwan and the defense of democracy.

The Working Families Tax Cuts delivers for Nebraska. No tax on tips. No tax on overtime. A permanent Death Tax exemption so Nebraska farming and ranching families can pass their business to the next generation. This tax season, I’m protecting the Good Life.

It's officially tax season. I've got good news: Nebraskans are likely to see more money in their pockets this year. The Working Families Tax Cuts prevented a $2,443 tax increase on the average Nebraska family. CBS reports that average tax refund will increase $1,000. Nebraskans work hard. They deserve it.

Great to tour the new Kimball Health Services facility this week. It’s a beautiful facility, with state-of-the-art tools to keep Nebraskans healthy. We discussed the Rural Health Transformation program, which was included in the Working Families Tax Cuts. This program provides $218 million to the State of Nebraska to create investments in rural healthcare. We need to support healthcare facilities like Kimball Health Services so our rural communities can thrive for years to come. Over 68% of hospitals in Nebraska are rural. Ensuring all Nebraskans have access to care is critical. Thank you for all the important work you do!

Great to stop by Blair’s Memorial Community Hospital. It was great to get an update on their facility and hear how I can continue to support them in the Senate. We also discussed the implementation of the funds from the Rural Health Transformation Program.

Grateful for the bravery of our service members who went behind enemy lines to save one of our own.

They announced the largest RVOs in history!   Biofuels are a win for consumers, the environment, and farmers and ranchers. The latest RVOs unleash American energy and support Nebraska agriculture.   I’ll keep fighting for a five-year Farm Bill and permanent, year-round E15.

Great to be in Blair this week touring Novonesis and Evonik! We partnered with @ShopFloorNAM and discussed how the Working Families Tax Cuts boosts the manufacturing industry. The no tax on overtime provisions specifically are helping these manufacturers keep workers!

America is preparing to cheer on Artemis II, the first crewed lunar flyby in over 50 years. General Dynamics in Lincoln manufactured several components integral to the mission’s success, including the oxygen tanks onboard the rocket. Nebraska is keeping our astronauts alive as they head towards the moon!

Nebraskans deserve elected officials who will put their communities’ interests ahead of their own personal interest. That’s why I introduced the Stop Insider Trading Act in the Senate. @RepBryanSteil is leading on it in the House.  Our bill eliminates even the appearance of impropriety by prohibiting Members of Congress, their spouses, and dependent children from buying new stock.

After waiting over a month to even meet, Democrats finally agreed to work with Republicans on a deal that reopens most of the Department of Homeland Security. This does not yet mean the end of the shutdown, as it still has to go through the House. DHS has been shutdown for over forty days. It took over thirty days for Chuck Schumer and Democrat leadership to even consider negotiating with Republicans. This has to stop. It's time for Democrats to put these games aside and work with Republicans to do what's best for the American people.
