This week, I toured the Peru Levee with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and saw the progress of reconstruction efforts.   Following the flood in 2019, I supported funding to assist the reconstruction process of the levee. This was necessary to mitigate the impact of flood waters affecting Peru.   The levee protects thousands of acres of Nebraska farmland. It also protects lives. Successful reconstruction of this critical infrastructure is necessary for our farmers.
