@Nurse_Daigle @SensCentral Yup. It was going to be tight then he lets in 2 softies. They will have a hard time winning with him as the goalie. But forwards need to be way better getting to the net.

The #Sens are waiting on a schedule. They are planning for Saturday start, but Sunday was on the table last night. It's up to NHL and TV networks. Sportsnet has requested #Sens and #Habs don't play same day. ESPN and TNT have a say I think there has been a bit of battle. We'll see today.

@TSNJR @_MarkSutcliffe Why does it have to be be further down the line to close Elgin? Why not just do ur now? So lame that we have to ‘wait’ until they go further to do anything remotely fun.

From Ottawa mayor @_MarkSutcliffe: - Sens Mile back on Elgin - potential of closing Elgin for watch parties further down the line - no lame bet with the mayor of Raleigh

The #Sens will face the Carolina Hurricanes in Round 1 of the playoffs. First time in franchise history that the Senators have faced Carolina in the playoffs. Expect the series to open on Saturday in Raleigh.

Crazy take: Donald Trump may have done more to secure a Liberal majority than anyone in Canada. His constant comments don’t just stay in the U.S. They influence voters here too. Does he know exactly what he’s doing or is he just that unaware? Because if he had kept his mouth shut about Canada being the “51st state,” there’s a real chance Pierre Poilievre would have a majority right now.

This is getting ridiculous. I get it that Poilievre is not Mr. Congeniality but these MPs ran under his banner just last spring. They knew who and what they were running for. Clearly this is just personal opportunism.

Conservative MP crosses the floor to Liberals Statement from MP Marilyn Gladu Today, the Liberal Party issued the following statement from Marilyn Gladu, Member of Parliament for Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong: “Dear citizens of Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong, "The past year has been like no other that Canada has ever faced, and I’ve heard clearly from constituents that you want serious leadership and a real plan to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy.  "That is why I have decided to join Prime Minister Mark Carney and Canada’s new government as the newest member of his caucus.  It is a privilege to have served as your Member of Parliament for more than a decade, and I have made a choice to do the best thing for our community’s priorities, and importantly, for our country. "The experience I gained working globally across many sectors will be important to help our Prime Minister continue to deliver on the big priorities he is driving forward: To build the nation at speeds not seen before, create jobs for a prosperous future, build our defence, diversify our trade, build more homes, help lower costs for Canadians, and combat crime. I believe that these are the priorities many of you share, and I’m ready to work with Prime Minister Carney to build a stronger, more independent, and more competitive Canadian economy. "I know that you also want to see more direct support from your federal government at this crucial moment for our local and national economy, and I will be working relentlessly to advocate for the projects, priorities, and prosperity that our communities are counting on. "Sarnia—Lambton was always a bellwether riding, meaning that whoever our community elected as MP was typically in government. That was true for 52 years before the citizens here elected me four times, throughout which I have served in Opposition and done my best to advocate strongly for you. Today, there is both the opportunity – and the responsibility – to build our country’s strength and success with a more constructive, collaborative approach. "That is the approach I will advance as the newest member of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s team in government, as we work together to build a brighter future for all in a stronger Canada." » – 30 –
