@GiorgioPatrini We grew alongside early customers who shared our conviction, building a company now serving clients on four continents, from banks and insurers to defence agencies and law enforcement investigating criminals and state actors who exploit synthetic media.

We closed a $2.1M funding round, led by @aurigapartners with participation from @betaworksVC and a group of European angels including @stichris (founder of Collibra AI), Grégoire Lepoutre and Adrien Gendre (founders of Vade Secure), and Giovanni Pepe (at Uber).

As we see widespread use of Google's AI to fabricate content related to the situation in Venezuela and Maduro's capture, Google's SynthID for detecting AI-generated images is being widely discussed these days. It's a great feature and it's proving effective in practice.

GenAI and deepfakes are more and more often used to bypass traditional KYC. This is the end of KYC as we know it today In '22 we found 10 popular biometric vendors severely vulnerable to realtime deepfakes. The situation hasn't changed in '24 @sensity on techcrunch.com/2024/01/08/gen…

These AI-generated images are among the most difficult to distinguish by the human eye I have ever seen. Automated detectors do work though (via @sensityai )
