Master Sergeant Nicole Amor’s funeral was a beautiful yet somber tribute to a dearly loved mother, wife, daughter, friend and soldier. It was an honor to be there today. She served our country with distinction and is gone too soon. Her memory will live on in all those who loved her. A tragic loss and very sad day.

@SenMarkKelly Not to mention about half of Americans don’t have a passport. It’s a pain to get one (and it costs at least $130). And if you live in a rural area? Even more difficult. The SAVE America Act is a great way to throw a giant wrench in our election system.

The SAVE America Act doesn’t “Save” America. And this isn’t about voter ID. This bill requires everyone to re-register to vote in person and your driver’s license, REAL ID, or military ID aren’t even good enough. Imagine all of our seniors who don’t have valid passports and haven’t seen their birth certificates in decades? What about them? How hard will it be for them to register? And how do they get a passport if they can’t find their birth certificates? And what about the cost? If this becomes law, it will disenfranchise many Americans.

The national average price of gasoline in the U.S. has reached $3.90 per gallon, while diesel has climbed to $5.09 per gallon. It now looks like gasoline will hit $4/gal next week and could head toward $4.10/gal and beyond.
