A large portion of people in tech (at least in my social bubble) shy away from legacy software and codebases with severe tech debt - plain JS, JS with no types, jQuery, jQuery UI, Angular (😏), Handlebars (or other templating systems), outdated React or Next.js, ...
@webscopeio, we get it.
When you're racing the market to deliver first, you can't afford to throw your tested jQuery stack away and start fiddling with the latest React.
It's often a conscious and critical decision to push the product first, then look back at the technology decisions, when there is time to take a breath again.
However, if not addressed in a timely manner, things will backfire if not addressed in a reasonable timeframe. The development will slow down, regressions will pile in.
If this is you and you want to address this situation, let me know. We focus on transforming legacy software into fast, SOTA dev stacks, and get you up to speed again, without compromising your commitments towards your stakeholders.
